PEEPS

(Our monthly newsletter of articles and stories in the form of destination insights, new openings and experiences, photography and much more, supplemented by our destination experts, partners and the guests)

By Amit Verma & Dominique Gallois

Dear Traveller,

In a world that moves fast, travel has also become hurried with checklists, quick photo stops, and the constant feeling of “what’s next?”

This month, we want to talk about the art of slowing down, walking through a town without a fixed agenda, cycling along quiet lanes where conversations replace commentary. How about discovering corners that never make it into glossy brochures, such as the tea stalls where stories brew stronger than the chai, the old banyan tree that has seen generations pass, and the craftsman who works without a signboard.

When we walk, we notice. When we cycle, we connect. When we pause, we understand. Fast-paced travel shows us the highlights, but immersive travel takes us beyond monuments and more into the moments.

Let’s experience India, not faster but deeper!

SPECIAL

Honouring Partnerships. Inspiring Journeys. Driving Impact.

There are milestones that mark growth, and there are moments that quietly affirm your purpose. The year begins with an incredible recognition as we have been awarded Best DMC by our esteemed partner, Explore Worldwide | B Corp™, UK.

This honour means far more to us than a title. Over the years, our partnerships with foreign tour operators have been built on shared values with responsible tourism at the core and long-term impact over short-term gains.

Equally important has been our unwavering commitment to transparency in business, open communication, and ethical collaboration with our FTOs and partners.

Seeing them grow into some of the most admired responsible travel companies of recent times and knowing we have contributed meaningfully to that journey is indeed a priceless feeling.

As we move forward into 2026, we do so with renewed humility and a commitment to raise our bar, nurture partnerships that matter, operate with integrity and transparency, and continue creating experiences that inspire travellers while uplifting the places we operate in.

We’re on a mission to transform the way we travel. It’s a movement we call Travel with Purpose. Read more about our sustainable travel efforts here

STORIES from Our Guests

Explore Jaipur in the Morning: A Cycle Tour With a Local

WhatsApp Image 2026 02 27 at 4.11.22 PM

It was a little past 7 in the morning, and Jaipur was slowly stirring to life. The air was crisp, carrying the faint scent of marigolds drifting from temple courtyards. I pedalled through the quiet lanes of the Pink City, its sandstone facades glowing softly in the morning light. Known for its vibrant energy and bustling bazaars, Jaipur felt calm and unhurried at this hour—the perfect time to explore on two wheels.

At Raj’s suggestion, we went inside Hawa Mahal, exactly opposite to what most visitors do, as they only stop for a photo of the stunning façade. Most tourists don’t realise that Hawa Mahal is not just a pretty wall but an extension of the City Palace, built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh.

This is an excerpt from the personal journal of Maria Elliott’s trip to Rajasthan in 2025, graciously shared for our Immersive Travel Stories

The science is clear: The planet can still be saved, and the journey can continue only if we travel responsibly and preserve the world’s beauty for generations to come.

We’re staying true to our radically transparent roots, breaking down the efforts behind every aspect of our business from our products to our processes and partners — in a way that’s clear, engaging, and human. In line with the Glasgow Declaration 2030, we are committed to reducing our carbon impact across every journey.

POSTCARD FROM THE EAST

Indian Chai Stories Through Pictures

Across India, every cup of masala chai tells a story of unhurried conversation and the small talk that keeps everyday life going. From bustling city corners to quiet village streets, a roadside tea stall, the tapri is a meeting point, a space where stories are shared, laughter echoes, and time slows down.

Immerse India The Peep 2 1

The famous Tapri Restaurant in Jaipur is a great stopover to strike up a conversation with Indian families and soak in the local vibe.

"At many local tea stalls, tea is served in small mud pots, known as kulhads, which add a unique earthy flavour. Traditionally unglazed and biodegradable, these pots are also considered auspicious and have been used in India for centuries."

Jodhpur is famous for its spices, and its masala tea is no exception. A cup on your next visit is always recommended.

Pouring tea from a height to blend in the masala and create a frothy, flavourful cup is a common sight at local stalls.
